美国斯坦福大学英文系博士,纽约市普拉特艺术研究学院(Pratt Institute)人文及媒体研究系系主任、教授。曾任纽约州立大学(石溪)英文系、比较文学和文化研究系教授。著作包括Where God Comes from: Reflections on Science, Systems and the Sublime(2012),Between Science and Literature: An Introduction to Autopoetics(2005),Arrow of Chaos: Romanticism and Postmodernity(1997)。编著包括Poetry and Cultural

Studies(with Maria Damon, 2007),Posthuman Bodies(with JudithHalberstam, 1995)等。
